Ryan Smith has been an Artist Relations Manager for over 25 years where he set up an office in a rehearsal hall in Nashville when country music was exploding. Throughout his career, he has been to over 2000 shows and dozens of award shows like the CMAs. Ryan has worked with artists like Maroon 5, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest (Rob Halford on the right in the photo above), Luke Bryan, The Who and Maren Morris.⁣

In addition to his work at Shure, Ryan has been a drummer for the last 40 years. He was in a Metal band in college, named after a Judas Priest song. Years later, he had the enormous pleasure of interviewing Rob Halford, it all comes full circle in music! The music industry is small, and creating relationships and great impressions can last a lifetime. Relationships go farther in the music industry than any other industry because business is conducted through their networks.
